How to practice

  1. 1.Sit upright, lips closed.
  2. 2.Slightly constrict the back of the throat — as if quietly fogging a mirror with your mouth closed.
  3. 3.Inhale slowly through the nose, keeping that soft constriction.
  4. 4.Brief pause at the top.
  5. 5.Exhale slowly through the nose with the same constriction.

Adjust

Equal-ratio breath. 4–6 seconds each side is the working range. The sound should be audible to you, like a soft whisper — not louder.

Take care

Do not force the throat constriction.
