How to practice

  1. 1.Sit comfortably, spine tall.
  2. 2.Close the right nostril with your thumb. Inhale slowly through the left.
  3. 3.Close both nostrils and hold gently.
  4. 4.Open the right nostril; exhale slowly through it.
  5. 5.Always inhale left, exhale right. Repeat.

Adjust

A 1:1:2 ratio is a gentle default. Drop the hold to 0 if breath feels short; lengthen the exhale for more calm.

Take care

Skip if you have a cold or feel sluggish — this technique can amplify heaviness.
