How to practice

  1. 1.Sit comfortably.
  2. 2.Curl the sides of your tongue into a tube. (If you can't curl your tongue, try Hissing Breath instead — same effect.)
  3. 3.Inhale slowly through the tube.
  4. 4.Close the mouth and hold gently.
  5. 5.Exhale slowly through the nose.

Adjust

Lengthen the exhale for more cooling. Shorten the hold if it feels uncomfortable.

Take care

Avoid in cold weather or when you have a cold — this is a cooling practice.
